The Colleagues

Tim Berry, Founder

Over the past 25 years, Tim has worked with family-business conflicts in the Northwest as well as in California's Wine Country. He has spent years helping family-businesses unravel complicated and messy situations caused by faulty communication and unexpressed resentments. Unattended, these conflicts would have had disastrous effects on both the family and the business.

Tim specializes in helping family firms understand when they get entangled in differences of polarized perceptions, as in  fixed or fluid thinking. He helps the members convert these destructive conflicts into positive win-win situations for the family and business. This work is done partially by building a trusting environment by which all parties feel safe and confident enough to move towards resolution.

By training, he holds a Ph.D. in psychology and is a trained Executive Coach. He was also a licensed fly-fishing guide for 18 years. Using settings surrounded by water, Tim often does his family-business work while on the water. He recently moved from Port Townsend, Washington, to Missoula, Montana.

Bill Criddle, Consultant

For over forty years, Bill has coached individuals, teams, and families to effectively address and resolve sensitive, awkward, or difficult issues and challenges. He focuses on teaching teams and individuals psychological tools to enhance effective communication, to control destructive emotional reactions, as well as powerful tools for creative problem-solving.

By training, Bill holds an MBA degree and a Ph.D. degree in psychology. He has been an Executive Coach for a number of large firms, including Microsoft, Intel, and Russell Investments, as well as numerous smaller privately held firms. Bill has worked with many individual executives and managers who come to him for personal and professional guidance, independent of their firms. He splits his personal time between Seattle and Orcas Island in Washington.
